Where is a good and cheap place to park when walking through the French Quarter? - walking french alps

I have a friend down this weekend and will go into the French Quarter. Have in my own travels, I go out of my house Dardy, but she does not live nearby. Where can I park or atleast insurance that is cheap? That does not bother us with a little walk.
